Beginning June 11, 2012 we are making some final changes to the Anasazi Training Registrations as follows:

·         Deployment Training (aka New Hire) name will be changed to Admin Data Entry to better reflect the content of the training and who should attend.  This training is for Staff whose job duties include searching for and/or adding new clients, and opening/closing assignments to the Unit/SubUnit.

·         Drop In name will be changed to Scheduled Practice Session to better reflect the expectations of the time scheduled.  This option is intended to allow staff who have been trained but want additional practice time with a trainer, those who have not successfully completed a class but want additional practice time to prepare for the next scheduled class, and for those staff with an extended leave exception to be evaluated after returning from leave.  This time will not be scheduled as a pass or fail training and will not replace the need for a training class.  Any exceptions to the above must be approved through QI upon request and review.

·         Client Plans and Progress Notes (1 and 2 day trainings) registration will be available online.  Because the process will be online each program is responsible to assure that each staff is signed up for the correct class before he/she attends.  If the trainers determine that the staff is not in the appropriate class they will be asked to reschedule for the appropriate class (this can occur up to and on the date of the training).  Brian Newcomer will no longer be the contact for registering staff for any trainings and all registration questions should be directed through the online registration page (contact information is available for email and phone on the website).

Based on feedback from you all, Optum is in the process of updating the registration website to be more user friendly – which will include in the next few weeks an updated booklet to help programs identify which training each staff needs and in which order as well as some minor re-organization of the website to access necessary information quickly.  A word of caution – there are up to 24 different types of training variations that are managed through this process and a great deal of information that must be reviewed in order to make an informed decision on training registration (as well as paperwork timelines for access).  It is the responsibility of each program to be familiar with this information to assure staff is registered and attending the correct trainings for his/her specific job duties.  Although we make every attempt to assist staff register for the correct trainings, we do not have the resources to provide individualized attention to each of the potential 2,000+ staff who may need to register at any given time.  Please be patient with this process and pass along that we will make every effort to assist as possible – however delays in responses to questions and requests are usually due to us gathering data to be able to provide the needed response.

Please find attached the updated list of trainings as well as the instructions for how to register online.  Make sure that this email is forwarded on to any staff who will register to training or those who will oversee the registration for their program.  Additionally as the website is updated and materials are completed they will be sent out to all as well as posted on the Optum website.  Thank you all for taking the time to review this important information and to pass along to any who may not be included on this email.
